AMAZING-6G Plenary Meeting in Antwerp: Advancing the Future of 6G Innovation
During November 4–6, 2025, the AMAZING-6G consortium gathered in Antwerp, Belgium, for its third plenary meeting, kindly hosted by imec. The event provided an excellent opportunity for partners to connect in person, share progress, and reinforce collaboration as the project moves into a decisive phase.
Focus and Objectives
The Antwerp plenary focused on:
- Reviewing the current status of work packages and technical progress,
- Strengthening alignment between architecture, enablers, and use cases,
- Planning the next steps towards the project milestones in the journey toward 6G innovation.
Key Sessions
Over three productive days, the consortium worked through a rich agenda combining plenary and parallel sessions:
- Day 1 opened with project and technical overviews, administrative updates, and deep dives into system requirements and architecture design.
- Day 2 was dedicated to the project’s application domains, including health and public safety, energy, and transport.
- Day 3 brought together all work packages to align on cross-domain integration, focusing on sustainability, enabler validation, and future trial activities, concluding with updates on communication, dissemination, and standardization.
Collaboration and Impact
The Antwerp meeting underscored the project’s collaborative spirit and the value of in-person exchange across technical and innovation teams. It reaffirmed AMAZING-6G’s mission: to shape the next generation of communication systems that are sustainable, reliable, intelligent, and human-centric.
